First Kings 22 Revelation 1-3

1 Kings 22:6 Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear?

Instant replay (of the future, written in advance), amid the din of social confusion:

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come [as with the king of Israel asking for self-centered guidance] when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the Truth [the Torah], and shall be turned unto fables.

1 Kings 22:8 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may enquire of YHVH: but I hate him; ….

The question is: will we listen to HIM?

Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ [Yeshua Mashiyach], which God [YHVH] gave unto Him, to shew unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass; and He sent and signified it by His angel unto His servant John:

Revelation 1:2 Who bare record of The WORD of God [YHVH], and of the Testimony of Jesus Christ [Yeshua Mashiyach], and of all things that he saw.

If we may gallop, quickly, into the wilderness — lay down in the green grass — and observe the social behavior of wild mustangs… The Real Horse Whisperer directs our attention to how colts are trained and by who? Not the STALLION! The stallion breeds and protects his harem. PERIOD. It is the well seasoned mare that teaches the young. Guess who nurtured Timothy? Timothy was educated, in his home, by his mother and his grandmother:

2 Timothy 1:5 When I [Paul] call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee [Timothy], which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

In the wild, mares teach their young by rewarding good behavior and … how do they discipline? When the colt misbehaves, the mare sends the colt out away from the herd. This is frightening because mountain lions love lone stragglers — “social distancing” is a form of discipline and I have to ask… WHO is calling the shots???!!! Did all of this catch YHVH by surprise — OR — is HE whispering to us?!

YeHoVaH IS adding HIS blessing to the whispered WORDs in HIS entire Holy Bible.

First Kings 17 First John 1

O! The glory of reading our CREATOR’s preserved written WORD in context — cover-to-cover as it is written!! Repeatedly without ceasing!!! For that intimate relationship with HIM. The preserved written WORD of GOD!!! HIS love letter to each of us, personally, from HIM Who begat/procreated our eternal Spiritual selves AND created everything physical in which we temporarily dwell, from the tiniest nano-particle to the farthest galaxies including the metropolitan complexities within each living CELL! When Charles Darwin called it a “simple cellhe had nary a clue :o/ Creation vs evolution — no contest. Those who cannot see… probably never will.

Few there be that find it” (Matthew 7:14 :o)

The 3rd Loft, in Acts 20:7-12, seems to be a stand-alone piece of information that just comes and goes outta the clear blue (if we do not understand the context of the entire Holy Bible); and yet, another passage leapt off the page and grabbed my attention this morning as I read:

1 Kings 17:19 And he [Elijah] said unto her [the widow with her dead son in her arms], Give me thy son [who had just died]. And he [Elijah] took him out of her bosom, and carried him up into a loft, …

1 Kings 17:21 And he [Elijah] stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto YHVH, and said, O YeHoVaH my ELohim, I pray Thee, let this child's soul come into him again. [begotten again? born again? Let’s delve in Spirit & Truth]

Back in 2012 (revised in 2017) the Scriptures prompted me to write a devotional entitled “THIRD LOFT” which is copy/pasted below. Acts 20:7-12 goes hand-in-hand with First Kings 17:19-21 with extraordinary harmony — and — the orchestra plays LOUDER as we read First John 1:

1 John 1:1 That which was from the beginning [G746 a commencement], which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of Life;

1 John 1:2 (For the Life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal Life [same EXACT Words used in John 3:15!], which was [past tense] with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

1 John 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Yeshua Mashiyach/Jesus Christ.

This “fellowship” was not created nor did it merely pop outtatha clear blue — it is ETERNAL as our Messiah prays unto HIS and OUR FATHER:

John 17:21 That they [this includes me… and I hope you] all may be one; as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in US: that the world may believe that Thou hast sent Me.

I could never grasp the mental picture of this until I saw our FATHER’s name written in paleo (ancient) Hebrew — Yod Hey Vav Hey:

(NOTE: Click on above picture for picture source.)

Do you see us in Them and Them in us? Whatta beautiful “WORD picture” :o)))

May the “THIRD LOFT,” our “long home” (referred to in Ecclesiastes 12:5-7) come into clear focus as our sojourn in this far country is nearing our RETURN:

Ecc 12:5 Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets:

Ecc 12:6 Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.

Ecc 12:7 Then shall the dust [of our created flesh] return to the earth as it was: and the Spirit [begotten AGAIN of YHVH] shall return unto ELohim who gave it.

Ezekiel 5 - 9 Acts 20 - 24

Maybe it was you that pulled up behind the guy, at the signal light, who had a bumper sticker that said "HONK if you love JESUS." Thinking that you love Jesus, and honking, the guy stuck his head out the window and yelled back, "It's still red, you idiot"!

On the flip side, maybe it is me, honking my horn, as I read between the lines, in Acts 20:7-12, about the "mystery" of YHVH's Kingdom. And maybe someone will shout back…. "That ain't what it said, you idiot!" :o/

I have to agree, what I'm about to say, "Ain't what it said." Well...Not exactly. Never-the-less, some very interesting Scripture came into clear view, for me, and I would like to share what I saw. So, let's look at Acts Chapter 20.

When we hear the name, Eutychus, what comes to mind? Eutychus is only mentioned one time in the entire Holy Bible. We are in the middle of Apostle Paul's travel. Seven days ago, Paul arrived in Troas. And now, it is Sunday and the passage says:

Acts 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread (because they, the disciples = disciplined ones) rested the previous day), Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

Acts 20:8 And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.

Acts 20:9 And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.

Acts 20:10 And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.

Acts 20:11 When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.

Acts 20:12 And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted. ["not a little comforted" means they were comforted VERY much.]

And, right away, Apostle Paul departs and is traveling again. Verse 16 tells us that Paul did not want to spend any time in "Asia." So, if ya don't mind the pun; my question would be, what does Eutychus have to do with the "price of tea in China"?

Here, we have six verses, that just come-and-go (out of the clear blue), with no obvious connection to anything else, in the entire Bible. What's with that? Before I give my humble opinion, I checked to see what a few of the "professional" commentators have to say.

C. I. Scofield, D.D. doesn't touch it with the proverbial "ten-foot-pole." No comment, whatsoever.

Commentator, Matthew Henry, emphasizes that the Christians are assembling on "the first day of the week," Sunday. He goes on to say that the Saints were poor and met in a "despicable inconvenient place." (If an "upper room" is a "despicable inconvenient place," I wonder how "despicable" Mr. Henry regards the place of the Last Supper.) Mr. Henry goes on to say: "They came together to break bread, that is, to celebrate the ordinance of the Lord's Supper." He then elaborates on the L….O….N….G sermon, which Paul preached, and gets into a lot of speculation about what Paul preached about. And then, Matthew Henry condemns the young man for sleeping in "church," and says that this is a lesson for us to stay awake in church. I don't think so. Matthew Henry gives no evidence of believing in "eternal life," only a twisted concept taught in cults; wherein "eternal life" is life from-now-on ("eternity" beginning with self….which is quite arrogant!). I'm not going to put much stock in his commentary.

Then, I read a commentary by Henry Morris, who must have been a Prince of a man, and I'm sorry I did not have the opportunity to sit down with him and visit about some of his commentaries, before he passed away on February 25, 2006. Although he says nothing about the "fall" of Eutychus, Mr. Morris says, "Only one other example of miraculous restoration to life through an apostle is cited, that of Tabitha through Peter (Acts 9:41). This is the last such instance recorded in Scripture before the second coming of Christ." I am grateful for Mr. Morris' mention of "restoration to life" and his Gospel Truth awareness of "eternal life." For example, his willingness to admit his own human uncertainty speaks tremendously of him, when he comments on Ephesians 1:4, which says:

"According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world...."

Mr. Morris says:

"God in Christ was the Creator of the space/matter/time/ universe, but before He began the world, in some way beyond our comprehension, we were chosen by Him."

And then, commenting on 2 Timothy 1:9, which says:

"Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,"

Mr. Morris continues:

"This remarkable revelation is incomprehensible to finite minds. We who are "in Christ Jesus" were saved and called (note the past tense [this is still his quote]), not only before we consciously accepted Christ, but even before we were born and before He created the world (Ephesians 1:4). While we cannot understand this with our minds, we can apprehend it with our hearts, and thank the Lord."

Thank you, Brother Henry Morris!

Getting back to the "third loft," I have to ask, why not the second loft, or the forth or the fifth? Why the "third"? I do not think that the "third loft" was an arbitrary number or "despicable" place. I have to admit that my repeated reading, of YHVH's Word, cover-to-cover, has influenced my thinking. My Bible is my Father's personal Words to me (as I hope they are HIS personal Words to you). As His Spirit helps me to understand what I am reading, and to gain knowledge, I make notes. This is important. In the margins of my Bible are notes and references to other passages. Next to this verse, which speaks of the "third loft," is a note: "see 2 Corinthians 12:2." 2 Corinthians 12:2 is also from the pen of Apostle Paul, and it says:

"I knew a man in Mashiyach above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: YHVH knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven."

Apostle Paul, I'm sure, is speaking of Stephen. Fourteen years ago, Paul was still Saul and watched as his order, to stone Stephen, was carried out. By the transforming power of YHVH, Paul is now our Apostle. Apostle Paul has been speaking, in the "third loft" for a long long long time, and it is late into the night. Our Apostle Paul knows the dictionary definition of "eternal life." And I have to ask, what if? What if our fall from grace was from the "third heaven," which could be illustrated by the "third loft"? When we fell from grace, we died in sin, and when Eutychus fell from the "third loft," he was "taken up dead." A messenger from YHVH, even Apostle Paul, descended from the "third loft," revived the young man…. the young man "was come up again," and they broke bread and ate. According to 1 Corinthians 10:17, WE are the "bread" and the "body" of Mashiyach. It is "we", who have fallen! It is "we" that must be revived. And it is "we" that are the fragment of the whole that will be "gathered UP"! After the "resurrection," they "broke bread," even partook of "communion," our celebration of the "return" of a fallen brother in Mashiyach (for which Yeshua is all about and for which we are to remember; as HE said, "this do in remembrance of Me").

Throughout the Bible, the word "sleep" is used to address someone who is dead. While Eutychus was still alive, in the window of the "third loft," something about him died and was in a "deep sleep," yet, his flesh was still alive (many people, living today, are dead spiritually). Then Eutychus "fell down from the third loft" and his flesh body "was taken up dead." Within the context of these 6 verses, we have the death of spirit and the death of flesh; as well as, the revival and resurrection of both.

In six short verses, Paul has given us a "show-and-tell" lesson of what he has been preaching for hours and hours and hours. Children of YHVH are YHVH's children. Duh! Yeshua is one of YHVH's children, and HE calls us "Brethren," because we have the same Father. Yeshua was killed for saying that He is YHVH's Son. Today, big religion would like to silence children of YHVH for the same reason….for stating, "I am a child of YHVH….literally." When you say, "our Father which art in Heaven," what do you mean? Think about Elijah (2 Kings 2:11) and Enoch (Hebrews 11:5), as Yeshua says:

John 3:12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to Heaven [third loft], but he that came down from Heaven [third loft], even the Son of man which is in Heaven [third loft].

Obviously Elijah and Enoch had previously been in Heaven, prior to descending to earth, because Yeshua said that this is a prerequisite to ascending to Heaven, as both Elijah and Enoch did. They "returned" to Heaven, as Eutychus "returned" to the "third loft."

The "third loft," the "fall," the "revival," and the "return" to the "third loft" is way more than a "stay-awake- in-church" lesson! Many are soon to be "caught up" to meet Yeshua in the air:

1 Thessalonians 4:16 For Yeshua himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of YHVH: and the dead in Mashiyach shall rise first:

1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet Yeshua in the air: and so shall we ever be with Yeshua.

1 Thessalonians 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Remember, "No man hath ascended up to Heaven, but he that came down from Heaven…." John 3:13 does not end by saying "only" Yeshua, but "even" Yeshua which is in Heaven. [The adjective "even" is defined, in the dictionary, as: “equal to and used to emphasize that something is surprisingly true.” (“even” is italicized in my KJV and my point is, whether or not the word “even” was in the original writing, THIS IS A SURPRISINGLY TRUE SHOW-N-TELL LESSON!) This show-n-tell lesson applies to Yeshua, Elijah, Enoch, you and me. That is, we can only ascend to Heaven, after having descended from Heaven. Do I hear someone, with a bumper sticker, yelling back at me? :o/]

As the days press on, and I continue my daily Bible reading, Ezekiel 9 and Acts 24 brought tears to my eyes. I wept, as I read Ezekiel 9 and Acts 24, in light of the global state in which we currently live. The profound judgment, spoken of in Ezekiel 9, in conjunction with the rejection of Apostle Paul's preaching, by "church leadership" (spoken of in Acts 24), brought tears to my eyes. I ponder the distance between "Christianity" today and Biblical Truth. So few have ever read their Bible cover-to-cover, and it is no wonder so few understand the "mystery," spoken of by Yeshua. It seems to be a matter of "what our church believes," and not what the Bible says.

The "writer's inkhorn," in Ezekiel 9, and Apostle Paul's supposed felony, in Acts 24, brings me to my knees before Almighty Elohim. Do we even know how far we have fallen from our Heavenly Father, as we find ourselves in a society as vile as Sodom and Gomorrah? As I see these things, I look up, knowing that our "Redemption draweth nigh." And I have to ask myself, just how filthy am I? Cleanse me, O YHVH! Please make me ready for that glorious day, in the name of Yeshua ha Mashiyach, even Jesus the Christ, our Lord and Master and Savior. Amen. And Yeshua said:

Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

The Words of Apostle Paul opened a panoramic view that I have never seen before! This magnificent view is in perfect harmony with the rest of Scripture! As I researched several Bible commentaries, none seem to explain the magnificent glory in the "fall" of Eutychus, or even comment on it! When I saw it, it was as though my exhale of amazement gave my intake a "turbo-boost" of enormous manifold pressure! :o))) Thank You YESHUA!!! May this "boost" propel my passion to speak the Truth, as we sprint to the CHECKERED FLAG finish.

And, Honk if you love Yeshua!

May YeHoVaH add HIS blessing to the reading of HIS entire Holy Bible. Amen.

First Samuel 18 First Corinthians 7

1 Samuel 18:5 And David went out whithersoever Saul sent him,

and behaved himself wisely: …

1 Samuel 18:9 And Saul eyed David from that day and forward.

1 Samuel 18:14 And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways;

and YeHoVaH [See Paleo Hebrew Below]* was with him.

(NOTE: Click on above picture for picture source.)

1 Samuel 18:15 Wherefore when Saul saw that he [David]

behaved himself very wisely, he was afraid of him.

1 Samuel 18:30 … David behaved himself more wisely ….

Chapter 17 ended by Saul asking David:

1 Samuel 17:58 And Saul said to him [David], Whose son art thou, thou young man? And David answered, I am the son of thy servant Jesse the Bethlehemite.

David is humble and relentlessly honors King Saul’s anointing — even though David knows (while Saul does NOT) that our Prophet Samuel has already anointed David to be the next King. David never violates Saul’s anointing — that is HUGE! Even in spite of:

1 Samuel 18:11 And Saul cast the javelin; for he said,

I will smite David even to the wall with it.

And David avoided out of his presence twice.

1 Samuel 18:12 And Saul was afraid of David,

because YeHoVaH was with him,

and [See Paleo Hebrew Below]* was departed from Saul.

(NOTE: Click on above picture for picture source.)

Question: Does our Heavenly FATHER lead us by example; or, does HE tell us to do as HE says not as HE does??

1 Corinthians 7:10 And unto the married I command, yet not I [Paul], but YeHoVaH, Let not the wife depart from her husband:

1 Corinthians 7:11 But and if she depart [as Israel has done repeatedly], let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband:

and let not the husband put away his wife.

Our eternal Brother David is many generations from Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Mt Sinai, the golden calf fiasco, the perverted sexual conspiracy of Balak and Balaam in Numbers 22-25, and the green trees in the “groves” under which Israel worshiped other gods, and on and On and ON!!! And, here we are in 2020 — Abba still loves HIS Wife Israel. HE is patiently waiting Her return; and, HE is patiently preparing a Bride for HIS Son. As Jonathan loves David, so do I and as with David, I plead:

Psalm 51:1-19 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy upon me, O ELohim, according to Thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of Thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against Thee, Thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Thy sight: that Thou mightest be justified when Thou speakest, and be clear when Thou judgest. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, Thou desirest Truth [TORAH, per Psalm 119:142] in the inward parts: and in the hidden part Thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which Thou hast broken may rejoice. Hide Thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O ELohim; and renew a right Spirit within me. Cast me not away from Thy presence; and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of Thy Salvation; and uphold me with Thy free Spirit. Then will I teach transgressors Thy WAYs; and sinners shall be converted unto Thee. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O ELohim, Thou ELohim of my Salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of Thy righteousness. O Adonoy, open Thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth Thy praise. For Thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: Thou delightest not in burnt offering. The sacrifices of ELohim are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O ELohim, thou wilt not despise. Do good in Thy good pleasure unto Zion [Zion,” this root of healing runs deep!]: build Thou the walls of Jerusalem. Then shalt Thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon Thine altar.

When our Prophet Nathan spoke the parable to David, about "Mr. Powerful" taking the poor man’s only lamb and feeding it to someone else; and, David replied that he would kill that low-life, our Prophet said to David and to you and to me who are eyed;

ABBA! Purge us. Cleanse us. Purify us… Before it’s too late. Please. B’shem Yeshua, our only Salvation, in this hour of turmoil. Todah, ken (Thank YOU, yes) AMEN.

As the sun sets this evening, of this sixth day, SHABBAT SHALOM.
